Mom Poem #1

Shrieking, squealing with delight
Chubby fingers gripping tight
Cherub face with toothless smile
I just want to stay with you awhile
And hold you, flailing, in my arms
But I must heed to the alarm
I wish I didn’t have to go
Darling boy, I love you so
