A dark place

Little baby, you are gone

I’ll never get to hear your songs

To watch you crawl, give you a name

Our lives will never be the same

You were in me, but now you’re not

A little bigger than a dot

You weren’t here long, I hope you know

My sweet, sweet one, I loved you so
A rainbow can be seen, not touched

My soul is hurting oh so much

My heart’s in pieces, the wounds won’t heal

How many watches must I steal?

Little baby full of grace

I’ll never get to see your face

No tiny fingers, wiggling toes

My sweet, sweet one, I loved you so
